Smooth Sailing: Delivering the Beneteau Oceanis First 44.1 from Medemblik to Zeeland
Our team recently completed the delivery of a brand-new Beneteau Oceanis First 44.1 from Medemblik to Zeeland. With a crew of four, we enjoyed smooth sailing and perfect weather conditions, 21°C with a steady eastern wind.
Due to maintenance at the Enkhuizen locks, we adjusted our route and sailed north to Vlieland before rounding Den Helder and heading south toward the Haringvliet. The yacht proved to be exceptionally stable, comfortably handling the waters with an average wind speed of 16 knots, allowing us to maintain a smooth sailing speed of 8.1 knots. The calm Wadden Sea made the first leg of the journey even more enjoyable.
On the second day, we set sail at 06:00 and continued our voyage to Roompot Marina, where we stayed overnight. Thanks to low water levels, we were able to pass through the locks late at night without any issues.
On the third and final day, we safely delivered the yacht to its destination, thoroughly cleaned it, and then made our way home.
It was a fantastic passage with ideal weather and an incredibly well-performing yacht.
